Today I made my first basil pesto of the summer! I had to cheat a bit and buy basil since my plants are still on the small side… but it was locally grown basil so close enough. 😆 Looking forward to a summer of enjoying basil pesto pasta, pesto grilled “cheese”, pesto on pizza, and pretty much anything else I find to smear it on. 😁

I made this pesto pasta salad for a birthday potluck. It’s simple to put together: gluten-free pasta, dairy-free basil pesto, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, and garbanzo beans with some Kalamata olives on the side. .
This is just one of the ways I love to use basil pesto. We also add it to veggie sandwiches and burgers. .
